I was a teenager, and I had been making these little slideshows and fan-made Doctor Who videos for a little while when it kind of dawned on me that there were people who did this for a living (music videos, and the like) and got paid for it, which just seemed like an absolute dream.

When I was younger I wanted to be a cat behaviourist, and I'd still love to do that, but I think I'd also make a pretty good private investigator.

Windows Movie Maker! (I know...)

After the endless fan videos, my first professional job was a short film about a man who gets a message from God, which subsequently changes his life. We cut it on Final Cut, which was a delightful upgrade from Movie Maker, PowerDirector and Sony Vegas.

(Actually I take that back...I really loved Sony Vegas.)

Hahaha, no. I have done a little bit of camera work and I'm not exactly a natural!

I use terms such as 'secret weapon' and 'ghost editor' because I edit a lot of films for people who don't want anyone to know they have outsourced their video editing. I edit in the same style as each client, meaning they can maintain a consistent look and feel to their edits.

Also, someone called me their secret weapon once (I can't remember who, sorry!) and it sort of stuck.

‘A Thousand Years’ by Christina Perri. About a thousand wedding videographers will back me up on this one, too. She's great, and it is a lovely song, but it does pop up a lot in this job!

I'd like to be able to fly. Everyone says flying, don't they? Actually, it might still take a while to get anywhere, so maybe teleportation.

A small amount of milk, no sugar. I'll drink any tea that resembles any of the darkest three guinea pigs on the Guinea Pig Tea Chart.

Coffee ice cream, or anything lemon-y.
